Introduction

Science activities supported by the SAEON Ndlovu Node include both long-term monitoring projects and short-term research projects. The nature of this support varies according to the type of project.

  1. Facitilies and logistical support are provided to post-graduate students who register their projects with SAEON

  2. Scientific input and / or logistical support is provided to established monitoring projects run by partner organizations

  3. Certain projects are entirely 'in-house', i.e. conducted by SAEON staff. These include both data collection and analysis of existing long-term data.

  4. Certain school projects contribute long-term data suitable for scientific analysis.

Support for these various projects is guided by a Node Science Plan, which is aligned with SAEON's over-arching Core Science This plan is written by the Node Manager, reviewed by the Node's Liaison Committee, and updated annually.
